Dracula's Rabid Dentures

Dracula's Rabid Dentures

This Halloween treat was inspired by foodie friend Debra who brought Dracula's Dentures to my attention. I love the original idea so much but went off the foodie map trying to come up with an easier and faster way to make these treats in my kitchen.

Dracula's Rabid Dentures

I decided to use store-bought cookies instead and I loved the idea of the dentures being ice cream sandwiches.

I put a scoop of vanilla ice cream in between two cookies.

I pushed in some of the ice cream back into the cookie and put in the freezer to set.

I wedged in the mini marshmallows/teeth so there were six across. I put the dentures back into the freezer.

I got some almond slivers that looked like fangs and my red decorating gel.

The red gel (unlike the black gel) worked perfectly! Totally making them look blood-tinged.

I added the fangs but wow, the ice cream just would not stop melting. I kept trying to clean it up but in the end I gave up and let it be a part of the Halloween effect.

These dentures are absolutely perfect for your rabid vampire! And incredibly tasty too. I made these in no time but must admit, the frothing was a bit annoying. However, I still prefer having ice cream stuffed cookies over icing-stuffed.

Definitely more for the silly Halloween foodie party!
